Blake Jenkins is an Australian artist with a diverse career spanning music, theatre, film, and directing. Known for his innovative and collaborative approach to storytelling, Blake works fluidly across multiple mediums both onstage and behind the scenes.
Most recently, Blake returned to the stage performing in the lead role of Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors for Drew Anthony Creative, followed by the role of the Tin Man/Dickory in The Wizard of Oz Pantomime produced by Zealous Productions.
As a director, Blake has been widely recognised for helming award-winning youth theatre productions with Bel Canto Performing Arts. His directing credits include Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr. (2021), Singin’ in the Rain Jr. (2022), Anything Goes: Youth Edition (2023), and Mary Poppins Jr. (2024). In 2025, he directed Chicago: Teen Edition at the Old Mill Theatre, South Perth.
Blake’s professional career began at the age of 11 when he made his debut in the Perth season of the Australian touring production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He continued to build his performance résumé with roles in local productions including Grease (2016), Bring It On: The Musical (2018), and Band Geeks (2019).
In 2020, Blake completed his Diploma of Musical Theatre at WAAPA. In 2022, Blake appeared as John Darling in Zealous Productions’ Peter Pan Pantomime. The following year, he made his full-length musical directorial debut with Peter Pan: Broadway’s Timeless Musical for Koorliny Arts Centre.
Alongside his creative practice, Blake works as the Marketing and Communications Officer at Koorliny Arts Centre in Perth, balancing this role alongside his performing and directing career. He continues to develop his work as a recording artist, focusing on releasing new music and evolving his sound. With extensive experience both onstage and behind the scenes, he remains passionate about creating meaningful work and connecting with audiences across disciplines.
